How to get to Car Rental Center at Frankfurt International Airport

Frankfurt Airport Car Rental Center (CRC) has two branches - Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 - which provide a convenient service for passengers arriving from domestic and international destinations. Getting to the CRC takes little time, as you can reach it in several ways (depending on your starting point).

• From passenger terminals. If arriving at T1, head to Hall A located in the Airport City Mall area. Positionally, CRC is available in the middle part of T1, at Level 0, one level above the S-Bahn train station.

From T2, head to Hall D at the Arrivals Level to reach the rental facility. Keep in mind that all companies have counters in both T1 and T2, except OK Mobility, which sits in T2 only.

• From the city. You can get to the CRC using the S-Bahn transit railway system with lines S8 and S9 stopping within the facility. Get off at the "Flughafen" stop and then continue to Airport City Mall/Hall A following the appropriate signs in T1.

How to return rental car to Frankfurt Airport Car Rental Center?

Returning your vehicle to the Rental Car Center at Frankfurt Airport follows the usual scenario: you arrive at the company parking lot, an employee accepts your vehicle and closes the agreement, and then you proceed to your flight or get to the city. However, there’s a difference in where you return the auto - to Terminal 1 or 2. Let's look at both cases in more detail:

• T1. When driving on the A3 autobahn, take the exit for B43 and then turn toward Flughafen/Lufthansa. After this, follow the green "car rental return" signage - the return building is available opposite T1. If you are coming from the A5 motorway, you need to first exit onto the A3, and then the B43 to access the area.
• T2. If you are traveling on the A3 or B43, follow signs for Flughafen/Terminal 2 and then look for the green "car return" signage, which will guide you to the drop-off point. When approaching on the A5 motorway, you must first exit at A3 or B43, depending on the driving direction, and then follow the signs for Flughafen/Terminal 2.

Keep in mind that you can return your vehicle to either T1 or T2, depending on which one is more convenient for you. However, Buchbinder cars can only be returned to T2, plus Dollar and Thrifty are waiting for their autos at the Hertz parking in T2 as well.
